L3HARRIS ANNOUNCED AS PRESENTING SPONSOR FOR VIRGINIA 4+ MILER RUN
The Lynchburg Road Runners Club, organizers of the prestigious Virginia 10 Miler road race, announced today that L3HARRIS will be the new presenting sponsor of the Virginia 4+ Miler. L3HARRIS replaces Bank of the James, who had been the presenting sponsor for more than a decade. The 52nd running of the world-famous Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler will take place Saturday, September 26, 2026. Registration is currently open.

Part of the Virginia 10 Miler’s rich history includes attracting top national and international runners. World champions, Olympians, NCAA champions and All-Americans have raced up and down Langhorne Road and Rivermont Avenue, crossing the finish line at EC Glass High School with a feeling of accomplishment and perhaps some anguish along the way. Bill Rodgers, Frank Shorter, Rod Dixon, Lasse Viren, Rob DeCastella, Jon Sinclair, and Julius Kogo are just some of the names.
