Course Route

Participants will run/walk Lynchburg’s newest trail extension (Langhorne Road Bridge), the challenge of Farm Basket Hill, and the excitement of finishing at E.C. Glass High School. The start and finish for the 4.5-mile event are the same. Participants proceed down Langhorne Road following the 10 Miler course past Farm Basket to Cranehill. Turning Left onto Cranehill participants proceed .2 miles to Linkhorne Middle School turning left into the school entrance from Cranehill Drive and following the parking lot driveway to the Blackwater Creek Bikeway Langhorne Bridge Trail extension. Participants will enjoy a paved bikeway above Langhorne Road as they cross Langhorne Road Bridge, turning off the bikeway at the Awareness Garden and onto Old Langhorne Road.

Commemorative Finisher Medals to all that finish the The Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler and all Virginia 4-Mile events. Event t-shirts are guaranteed to those that register by September. 1. Registrations received after the deadline will receive shirts on a first-come first-served basis at packet pickup.

When 5 of your friends use your unique URL for their registration, you receive a credit of $35-55. Register early, and you can race for FREE. You’ll receive your referral URL upon completing registration.

OPEN Team Competitions

Corporate Team Competition will take place in both the 10 and 4 mile run events. There will be 3 team categories; Mixed, Male, & Female.
Awards will be given to the top scoring team in each category. There is no need to designate a corporate team category with your entry. The best 5 corporate finishers, for each team category, will be designated as that corporation’s team.
Open team competition will take place for the 10 mile run. An award will be given to the 1st Place Open Team and Runner-up Open Team. An open team will consist of no more than 5 members with the top 4 finishers cumulative time used for scoring. One finisher must be female. Team entries will be accepted until the Sunday before the race. Open team entries will only be accepted online.
