Course Route
Runners proceed north on Langhorne Road, downhill for 1.5 miles (Farm Basket Hill) and run to Rivermont Terrace (3.0/7.0 miles). After a short distance on Rivermont Terrace, runners turn east onto historic Rivermont Avenue passing Randolph College (4.0/6.0 miles). and follow the course clockwise through Riverside Park overlooking the James River (5.0 miles). Runners return the same route finishing up the infamous, 1.5 mile “Farm Basket” hill.

Participants must be past the following areas to avoid disqualification:
Rivermont Avenue: 9:30 a.m.
Langhorne Road / Crane Hill Drive: 10 a.m.
Finish Line Closes: 10:30 a.m.

2024 RRCA NATIONAL 10-MILE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler is a Road Runners Club of America National 10 Mile Championship. Since 1958, the RRCA has awarded championship events through a competitive bidding process at the National, Regional, and state levels to RRCA member clubs and events to promote the sport of distance running. The RRCA Championship Event Series is the largest grassroots organized running series in the U.S., attracting over 320,000 runners each year. The goal of the RRCA Championship Event Series is to shine a spotlight on well-run events and to award top-performing runners.

Open Men: Sub 55 for 10 miles (sub 33:11 for 10K)
Master Men: Sub 59 (sub 35:36 for 10K)
Grand Master: Sub 62 (sub 37:24 for 10K)
Open Women: Sub 60 for 10 miles (sub 36:12 for 10K)
Master Women: Sub 64 (sub 38:37)
Grand Master Women: Sub 67 (sub 40:25)

Corporate Team Competition will take place in both the 10- and 4-mile run events. There will be 3 team categories; Mixed, Male, & Female.
Awards will be given to the top scoring team in each category. There is no need to designate a corporate team category with your entry. The best 5 corporate finishers, for each team category, will be designated as that corporation’s team.

Open team competition will take place for the 10-mile run. An award will be given to the 1st Place Open Team and Runner-up Open Team. An open team will consist of no more than 5 members with the top 4 finishers cumulative time used for scoring. One finisher must be female. Team entries will be accepted until the Sunday before the race. Open team entries will only be accepted online.
